COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT
The past few months has been complete devastation across the events and hospitality industry. Social distancing and stay at home mandates have shut down events across the country and around the world as people strive to limit contact with others and slow the pandemic. The events industry, which exists to bring people together, has been hit particularly hard.
In recent weeks we have spent a lot of time discussing how we might still move forward with some of our annual events this year, particularly given that this October, Copperstone Event Production & Creative Agency will be celebrating its 15th year of creating memories in the event sector.
However, with all of the logistical challenges and uncertainties we currently face due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s biggest annual events, including our annual red-carpet GALA Event at the end of the year, our charity outreach projects, and our flagship annual competition, Talent Search SA.
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of this year’s Talent Search SA competition. This is not a decision we have taken lightly, and we want to thank all our valued sponsors and our judging panel for your willingness to support our projects, as well as everyone who entered for this year’s competition. We will begin processing full refunds to all entrants immediately. If you registered online, your refund will be processed within 24-72 hours. Your refund will be processed to your original form of payment, and you will receive a confirmation email and refund receipt.
It was a painful decision to cancel some of our biggest events, as well as Talent Search SA competition this year, but the health and safety of our guests, partners, judging panel, contestants, volunteers, and staff are our top priority, and with the unfolding situation related to COVID-19, we felt this was the decision that had to be made.
So what can our regular guests expect for the rest of the year? People are conscious and aware of large crowds now – and will subconsciously make efforts to avoid them, even after the pandemic has passed. We are already working on smaller intimate events at Copperstone House when Lockdown permits, as well as an online initiative which we will launch as part of our 15-year Celebrations later this year.
At COPPERSTONE House we are permitted to operate during lockdown level 3 and are ready to welcome all Essential Services Providers and Business Travellers. Please be advised that the health and safety of our guests and staff remain a priority during this period. We have also implemented these additional control measures you can familiarise yourself with when booking.
