About Us

COPPERSTONE Event Productions & Creative Agency was founded in 2006 by Jacques Momberg, inspired by the legacy of his mother, who dedicated her life to philanthropy and the belief that we should strive to leave the world in a better state than we found it. Determined to carry forward her vision, Jacques established COPPERSTONE as a testament to her values.

Recognising a gap in the market for a sophisticated, trend-driven, full-service events company, COPPERSTONE’s launch event was dedicated to supporting the Jacaranda and Louis Botha children’s homes in Pretoria. Words like “charity” and “philanthropy” often describe acts of kindness performed voluntarily. However, we believe that giving back is not just an option—it is a duty, a responsibility we must uphold while we inhabit this planet. Perhaps, it is both an act of kindness and a calling—a gift we are compelled to share.

For over 15 years, we have produced high-profile events ranging from spectacularly lavish parties to refined, elegant receptions. Our passion for event planning and crafting extraordinary celebrations drives every aspect of our work. Whether building on your creative vision with innovative event concepts or producing galas that foster a deep sense of connection and positive energy, we take immense pride in delivering experiences that captivate and inspire.

At COPPERSTONE, we see events as stories waiting to unfold, and like skilled storytellers, we curate experiences that allow narratives to develop in unexpected and unforgettable ways. As a full-service event design and production agency, we specialise in corporate and non-profit events, ensuring that each one goes beyond the ordinary to become a powerful vehicle for your message, brand, or cause.

Since its inception, COPPERSTONE has proudly supported numerous charities through fundraising initiatives, gala events, celebrity charity auctions, and charity dinners. We have also worked tirelessly to raise funds and awareness through flagship national competitions such as Humanitarian of the Year and Talent Search SA.

We have been fortunate to contribute to various charities and communities in need. Over the past 15 years, we have raised more than R1 million for deserving NGOs and communities while generating crucial awareness through charity campaigns, donations, and service initiatives. Some of the charities and organisations we have supported include: CANSA (The Cancer Association of South Africa), Jacaranda Children’s Home, Louis Botha Children’s Home, Berg-en-Dal, SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), Siyazigabisa Children’s Home, Ripple Reading, Rooihuiskraal Library, Wespoort NG Church, Imizamo Yethu Community Centre, CANSA TLC Nicus Lodge, Reach for a Dream, Amadea Safe House, Foodbank SA, Peas in a Pod, The Princess Project, Theatre Benevolent Fund (TBF), and CHOC (Childhood Cancer Foundation).

Maurice Setter once said, “Too many people miss the silver lining because they’re expecting gold.” Through our annual Cancer HOPE Shoot, we have had the privilege of meeting incredible cancer warriors who bravely share their journeys of resilience and survival. They have taught us the power of searching for the silver lining, no matter how difficult the road ahead may be. One warrior’s words continue to resonate with us: “Get up, stand up, and put your lipstick on.” Their strength reminds us that life is about finding light even in the darkest moments.

One of the most profound lessons we have learned over the years is that when facing challenges—especially life-threatening illnesses like cancer—it is not about expecting gold, but about recognising the silver linings in every experience.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has played a role in helping us bring our vision to life—changing the world, one person at a time. To our valued sponsors, your involvement and support are deeply appreciated. To all the contestants in our charity competitions, your passion and dedication to our causes have been invaluable.

And finally, to every individual who has allowed us to be a small part of their story—to those who have shared their journeys, opened their hearts on camera, and served as an inspiration to others searching for hope—we honour your courage, optimism, and unwavering spirit. You have taught us the importance of never overlooking the silver lining.

Thank you.
